There are a number of resources available to elementary school educators and students.  Several organizations provide high quality educational resources and aids for teachers – to inform them of potential future career opportunities in aerospace for young students, to provide additional resources to be used in the classroom to enhance their learning experience in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.  There also resources for teachers to direct children and their parents to in order to provide the student with greater exposure to fun and interesting information that is intended to enhance their own learning experience, as well as to stimulate interest in the exciting aerospace field.

Many of these resources are sponsored and/or administered by government or commercial organizations. Some are collaborative efforts. Examples of some of the programs that are available include the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education’s (MBRT) Website called “Be What I Want to Be”. Founded in 1992, the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education is a group of more than 100 leading employers that have made a long-term commitment to support education reform and improve student achievement in Maryland.
